I grew up alongside the internet, and was fortunate enough to have a tech-loving dad who was sure to get us a home computer as soon as they were available. In middle school, I would come home to play an online horse-themed game where I made fake money coding custom home pages within the game, and using the earliest version of Photoshop to create graphics.
I went on to outsmart the High School photography teacher when it came to Photoshop, and enjoy abundant free time when my period as “library assistant” consisted of website coding that took me a fraction of the time allotted.Â
In college I started an Instagram account for my horse, and ended up becoming an early days “influencer” on accident. Today, that same account has brought me tons of client work for a wide variety of tasks. I still operate as a small influencer, and also run two business accounts for other brands. While I did graduate from Cal Poly with a degree in Animal Science, I have only ever worked in digital marketing for my career.
